Ignite 2012
As the Diocese of Syracuse continues to celebrate 125 years, I want to invite the Catholic men of Central New York and beyond to join me at IGNITE 2012. This special anniversary is an opportunity for us to celebrate “Together in Faith, Hope, and Charity.” I can’t think of a more apt description of the annual IGNITE Catholic Men’s Conference in the Diocese. More than one thousand men will gather at the SRC Arena at OCC (a new venue this year) on March 31st to be challenged and inspired by one another and this year’s speakers, including former major league all-star, Mike Piazza, entrepreneur, Sean O’Hare, and author, Fr. Thomas Williams. As we celebrate our past and journey together into the future, I hope you will join me at IGNITE 2012.

Mike Piazza
Mike Piazza is a twelve time major league all-star catcher and holds the record for most home runs ever hit by a catcher (397). Mike has played for the New York Mets, LA Dodgers, Florida Marlins and San Diego Padres. He serves as an Advisory Board Member of Catholic Athletes for Christ and loves the Mass. He shares a desire to spread the “Good News” through athletics.
Sean O’Hare
Sean O’Hare is a successful entrepreneur primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions. To date, the enterprise value of the transactions his companies have executed total more than $75 million. Outside of work he is actively involved in several philanthropic organizations. Most recently, he was asked to head U.S. efforts for the first project under the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization that was just launched by Pope Benedict in 2010.
